For<\/p>\n<h2>Prize Categories<\/h2>\n<p><strong>The categories will be redefined for the festival 2020!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Here the former categories:<\/p>\n<h5>Audiovisual Category<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Short Film Award:<\/b> 10 minutes or less<\/li>\n<li><b>Medium-Length Film Award:<\/b> 10 to 30 minutes<\/li>\n<li><b>Feature Film Award: <\/b>30 to 55 minutes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>Multimedia Category<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Multim\u00e9di&#8217;Art Award: <\/b>CD-ROM or DVD-Rom<\/li>\n<li><b>Interactive Multim\u00e9di&#8217;Art Award:<\/b> kiosks, interactive programs (audio guides), mobile applications<\/li>\n<li><b>Web&#8217;Art Award:<\/b> website<\/li>\n<li><b>Special Web&#8217;Art Award: <\/b>online exhibition or program<\/li>\n<li><b>New Museology Award: <\/b>\u00a0immersive environment (if the jury can view technologically during the meeting)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>Claude-Nicole Hocquard Award<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>New name for the AVICOM Grand Prize for jury\u2019s choice amongst all categories<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>The Selection Process<\/h2>\n<p>The jury consists of panel of experts recognized by their peers and is mandated to review the submissions selected by the AVICOM General Commissariat. Its selection is based on the quality of the content (scientific value) and the form (presentation, ease of use) and may also take originality into account. Prizes are awarded based on a majority vote. The jury reserves the right not to award a prize in a particular category if it deems that no submission has fulfilled its prerequisites. The works of the finalists will be presented to FAIMP participants before the official awards ceremony.<\/p>\n<h2>Past Festivals<\/h2>\n<p>Marie-Fran\u00e7oise Delval , who was at the helm of Mus\u00e9es de France at the time, instigated the <i>Festival Audiovisuel Mus\u00e9ographique<\/i> in 1992, which eventually became the <i>Festival Audiovisuel International Mus\u00e9es et Patrimoine<\/i> in 1996.
