AVICOM Members\u2019 Survey 2026: Listening to Our Community<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Results, expectations and priorities shaping AVICOM\u2019s new Strategic Plan<\/strong><\/h2>\n

AVICOM conducted the 2026 Members\u2019 Survey to gain a deeper understanding of its community: who our members are, the professional and institutional contexts in which they work, the challenges they face and their expectations for the future of the Committee.<\/p>\n

The survey is part of a broader process of reflection that will inform the development of AVICOM\u2019s new Strategic Plan. We believe that a meaningful strategy must be built by listening to our members and recognising the diversity of experiences, skills and perspectives represented within our international network.<\/p>\n

The results provide valuable insights into the areas in which AVICOM can offer greater support, encourage professional exchange, create new opportunities for cooperation and strengthen its role within ICOM and the wider museum community.<\/p>\n

A Multilingual and Collaborative Survey<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Thanks to the commitment of AVICOM Board members, the questionnaire was translated not only into ICOM\u2019s three official languages\u2014English, French and Spanish\u2014but also into other languages spoken by members of the Board.<\/p>\n

This collective effort enabled us to reach a broader and more diverse audience and helped reduce some of the linguistic barriers that can limit participation in international networks.<\/p>\n

We warmly encourage AVICOM members and partners to translate this report into additional languages and share it within their professional and institutional networks. Each new translation can make the results more accessible, foster wider participation and strengthen dialogue across countries, regions and cultures.<\/p>\n

Key Findings<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The survey highlights five main areas of interest and expectation among AVICOM members.<\/p>\n
